A new mechanical sporting event featuring radio controlled robots in gladiator type competition. It is a sport that blends art, theater, and technology. Robot Wars is currently the #1 show on BBC2 in the UK.

DIVISION OF LUCASFILM LTD. SAN RAFAEL, CA
A creative concept division responsible for generating toy lines and individual toy items that are manufactured and marketed by Mattel Toys in partnership with LucasToys. Responsible for concepts, design, execution, and presentation to Mattel and all other major toy companies.

1979 - 1991 ANIMATRONIC DESIGNER / CHIEF MODEL MAKER, INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC,
SAN RAFAEL, CA
Design and construction of scale models, sets, creatures,puppets, robots, and mechanical effects used in feature films and commercials, including supervision of personnel that assist in construction and fabrication.

1983 DESIGNER / CO-INVENTOR
BASEBALL BATTING TEE
A baseball training device. Took the product from basic idea to market through numerous vendor services including injection molding, graphic design / image development, copy writing, patent app. etc. This also included a trip to Taiwan to purchase pre-manufactured rubber parts.

VILLA ALLEGRE
A TV series produced by Bilingual Children’s Television shown on PBS. Wrote, produced, and directed short segment film pieces.

1974 - 1976 DIRECTOR, DOLPHIN PERFORMANCE PROJECT,
MARINELAND OF FLORIDA
One of the first controversial performance art projects funded by National Endowment for the Arts. The project involved training two young female dolphins to perform various synchronous swimming routines as behavioral sculpture -- performed live for the general public.
